Core SubjectsDuring my third year of undergrad, I took four different courses all of which focused on teaching of the core subjects. To practice designing and organizing curriculum, I developed a variety of lesson, unit, and yearly plans for fourth and fifth grade students. These curriculum planning items were essential to me understanding how to develop engaging lessons based on standards. It also allowed me to practice developing a variety of assessments to evaluate student understanding. The documents to the left showcase my level of knowledge in planning, my high level of organization, and my ability to formally present quality ideas.

Theoretical PapersWhen starting my degree in Elementary Education, I was asked to develop many theories about schooling based on theories developed by famous educators and theorists. In doing so, I developed my own ideas of what teaching should look like and how I wanted my classroom to function. The documents to the right show my thoughts on educational theory and how it applies to my personal journey.
